If all goes well, then Salman Khan might end up playing the lead role in the Hindi version of Bodyguard. There is speculation that the Hindi remake of director Siddiques Malayalam film will be have Deepika Padukone opposite the Wanted star Salman Khan. The Malayalam version of the film, starring Dileep and Nayantara, was released in March this year. The story of the film deals with a young man, who gets attracted to people, with heroic qualities and follows them like a bodyguard. But, the interesting twist comes when he is hired to accompany a businessmans gorgeous daughter to college as her bodyguard. Siddhique is busy with the Tamil version of the film, which stars Asin and Vijay in the lead. The director had been getting a number of offers to remake the film in Hindi, but only Atul Agnihotri has managed to buy the rights from him.
