Ilayathalapathy Vijays new flick titled �Velayudham� which is being directed by Jayam Raja has been launched today morning in a grand event among 60,000 die-hard fans at the Madras University Hall. Sources say that thousands of his fans are even waiting and hanging at the venue gates and singing the title song composed by Vijay Antony �Vela, Vela Velayudham� and they wore Velayudham T-Shirts printed with big picture of Vijay. Jayam Raja says �It is a film for the masses. Based on a story by late director Tirupathisamy, �Velayudham� revolves around an ordinary man, who becomes a real hero for the sake of people. He adds �Vijay plays an enterprising youngster while Genelia is doing the role of a journalist. Hansika Motwani and Saranya Mohan are also doing crucial characters.
