Thilakan accuses Keralas Ruling partys indifference
Malayalam actor Thilakan, who was expelled from Keralas apex film body for calling it a mafia group, is upset that the Left Front government did not help him in his fight against injustice. I was not helped by the CPI(M)-led government in Kerala in my fight against injustice meted to me by the film Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) and Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA), Padmashree winner Tilakan told PTI. The veteran actor was a member of the United Communist Party of India in the 60s but accuses the Left Front government led by V S Achutanandan of remaining a mute spectator to his unjust expulsion. AMMA had expelled the actor for lifetime on grounds of indicipline after Thilakan refused to apologise for criticising the association in public
